We are looking for a practical and proactive Risk Management Facilitator to coordinate workplace risk management and risk-assessment activities across our civil and infrastructure projects.

You will facilitate multidisciplinary risk-assessment teams, maintain the Risk Management Implementation Plan and support project teams in identifying hazards, evaluating risks and implementing effective and practical controls before work begins.

This is an opportunity to play an active role in strengthening risk management across project operations, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, WSH teams, site personnel, subcontractors and other stakeholders in a dynamic civil and infrastructure environment.

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of work activities, risk assessments, risk registers, control-action trackers and supporting records.
  • Ensure risk assessments are reviewed, approved and communicated before work starts, and that relevant controls are incorporated into method statements and safe work
    procedures.
  • Verify the implementation and effectiveness of risk controls through site inspections, discussions, audits and follow-up reviews.
  • Review and update risk assessments following incidents, significant operational changes, new risk information or at the required review interval.
  • Assess contractor and supplier risk-management submissions and coordinate improvements with project, engineering and WSH teams.
  • Provide risk-management briefings, reports and regular updates to management and relevant project stakeholders.
  • Support project teams in promoting risk awareness and consistent risk-management practices across work activities.
  • Maintain clear records of risk-management actions and follow through on outstanding items to ensure timely closure.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Workplace Safety and Health, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Completed WSQ risk-management training for developing a Risk Management Implementation Plan, commonly associated with bizSAFE Level 2, or an equivalent recognised course.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in WSH risk management, risk assessment or civil and infrastructure project operations.
  • Good knowledge of the WSH (Risk Management) Regulations and the Code of Practice on WSH Risk Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate risk-assessment teams and prepare clear risk registers, action plans and reports.
  • Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills, with a practical understanding of site operations.
  • Able to communicate risk requirements clearly and work constructively with project teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Organised and systematic, with the ability to manage multiple risk assessments, reviews and follow-up actions.
  • Experience in rail, tunnelling, underground infrastructure, civil maintenance or asset-renewal works will be an advantage.
  • Relevant WSH or risk-management certifications will be an advantage.

Work Arrangement

This is a project-oriented role requiring regular visits to project sites for risk assessments, site inspections, briefings and risk-management coordination.

The incumbent must be prepared to perform ad hoc shift work outside normal working hours when required by the assigned project, including attendance during critical activities, risk reviews, incident follow-up or other operational requirements.

Working hours and site arrangements will depend on the requirements of the assigned project.
