  • Monitor commitments, actual costs, forecasts and cost-to-complete, and identify cost variances, commercial risks and opportunities at an early stage.
  • Prepare contractual notices, records and correspondence in coordination with the Project Manager and commercial team.
  • Attend site, progress and commercial meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct site measurements and verification to support accurate valuation, progress claims, variations and cost monitoring.
  • Maintain accurate commercial registers and supporting documentation for audit, claims, contractual matters and final-account purposes.
  • Support the resolution of commercial and contractual issues throughout project delivery.
  • Support junior team members and contribute to consistent commercial practices across projects when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant quantity surveying or contract administration experience in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Good knowledge of measurement, cost control, procurement, progress claims, variations, subcontract administration and final accounts.
  • Working knowledge of standard construction contract conditions and commercial documentation.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good negotiation, communication and written skills, with the ability to work effectively with project and stakeholder teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying, estimating or cost-reporting tools.
  • Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and follow through on commercial matters within project timelines.
  • Experience in rail, tunnelling, underground infrastructure, civil maintenance or asset- renewal projects will be an advantage.
  • Relevant professional or industry certifications in quantity surveying, contracts or commercial management will be an advantage.
